Courtney Ukrainetz, Executive Director, for Canadian Mental Health shared how they play a major role in addressing the education, housing, income, and support needs of our community for those experiencing difficulties with mental wellness.  The focus is on proving a whole-person approach- offering hope.  Mental wellbeing is affected by situations around safety, housing, relationships, and feeling of having a purpose in life.  Early supports and community connections can reduce  situations that could end in a crisis.  

We take the time today to recognize Eric Madsen as our July Rotarian of the Month.

Eric has been a Board member, an invaluable contributor to the Legacy Wetlands Project, a member of the Square Committee, Black Tie Bingo Committee, and Community Grants Committee. He also leads our Rotary Blood Donor Initiative and demonstrates his commitment through his participation and leadership at monthly donor events. Eric was also recognized as our 2024 Rotarian of the Year for his outstanding service and dedication to Rotary. 

Eric is always working behind the scenes to help others and is generous with his time. He quietly steps forward to support tree planting initiatives, Picnic in the Park, community events, volunteer activities, and countless Rotary projects. Whether arranging for Macksimus to attend events, lending a hand where needed, or helping organize resources and volunteers, Eric embodies Rotary's spirit of Service Above Self.
